Zamaana Deewana (1995)

"Zamaana Deewana" is a tale of friendship and love, interspersed with elements of comedy, romance, action and thrill. This drama revolves around the friendship of two gangsters, Suraj (Shatrughan Sinha) and Lala (Jeetendra) who, through their solidarity ensure that the city remains relatively unaffected by underworld activities. However, their friendship is destroyed and converted into utter enmity when they both succumb to a web of deceit woven together by their common enemy, Sundar (Tinnu Anand). The basis of their enemy the lies in Lala's false belief that his wife is dead, and that Suraj is to blame for that. They become the bitterest of enemies, reeking violent havoc and creating chaos in the city, through their incessant gang wars. In a desperate attempt to restore peace to the city, Asst. Commissioner of Police (Prem Chopra) has 2 criminal psychologists, KD (Anupam Kher), and Shalini (Kiran Juneja) weave a plot to bring Rahul (Shahrukh Khan), the lively and spirited son of Suraj, close to Priya (Raveena Tandon), the ever-so graceful and elegant daughter of Lala. Will Rahul and Priya's love succeed in bringing together the former friends, and consequently restore peace to the city?
