Tested Berries (1973)

This animation film brings to life a story from the great Indian epic, Ramayana. Shabari, an old woman belonging to a low caste had spent years collecting berries for Lord Rama. Her devotion to him was so strong that she wanted to offer only this sweet berries for him, so, she tasted each and every day the to ensure that they were sweet. After many years of waiting, when Lord Rama eventually came to meet her, he was so touched by the purity of her devotion that he accepted her half-eaten berries as a sign of her love.
