Trivia:
Nirupa Roy plays Dilip Kumar's older sister in the film when in real life Dilip Kumar is in fact 9 years older than her.

The film was previously produced as Ramudu Bheemudu (1964) starring N.T. Rama Rao.

This was the first film in which Dilip Kumar was portrayed in a double role.

There is scene a hotel scene from the movie where Shyam eats a lot of food and Ram is made to pay the bill. This was copied by David Dhawan in his film Bade Miyan Chhote Miyan (1998).
