Rab Ne Bana Di Jodi (2008)

'Rab Ne Bana Di Jodi' is an offbeat love story that delves into concepts of interesting and uninteresting, attractive and unattractive, and illumines a magical journey filled with laughter, tears, joy, pain, music, dance and a lot of love; a journey that makes us believe that there is an extraordinary love story in every ordinary jodi. Amritsar-based Surinder Sahni, employed with Punjab Power, is a simple, repressed man leading mechanical, dreary life. Through a serendipitous quirk of fate, he gets married to Taani, a vivacious and lively young lady who does not approve of him. She remains cold and aloof, and both do not even communicate. When she expresses a desire to participate in a competition called Dancing Jodi, Surinder permits her. He then decides to win her affections by posing as a macho man named Raj Kapoor, enrolls in the same competition, gets to be her partner, and befriends her. Unfortunately, this overture fails, she ends up detesting him even more, and plans to elope with Raj without realizing that he's really her husband. How will Taani react when she comes to know that Raj and Surinder are one and the same? With the both of them find true love and understanding in each other?
