Daniel Hillard is a freelance voice actor and a devoted father to his three children, Lydia, Chris, and Natalie. His wife Miranda however, considers him unreliable. Miranda files for divorce, and the court grants her sole custody of the children. Wanting to spend more time with his kids, Daniel disguises himself as Mrs Doubtfire, an ageing female Scottish housekeeper, and gets a job in Miranda's house.
