NTR faces a defeat in the 1989 Andhra Pradesh assembly elections. Being a widower, he feels lonely even when surrounded by his family. Lakshmi Parvathy enters his life with the intention of writing his autobiography. They gradually grow close and get married. NTR wins the elections 1994 with a thumping majority. When everything seems to be going fine, he is dethroned from the CM post by his own son-in-law, with the support of the family and party members. Unable to come in terms with this betrayal, he faces emotional turmoil, which is what the movie portrays.
