Sisters Akane and Aoi Aioi lose their parents to an accident 13 years ago and it forces Akane to give up on her dreams of moving to Tokyo and instead raise Aoi against the wishes of her boyfriend rock guitarist Shinnosuke. 13 years later, Aoi is a high school student and aspiring rock bassist who is determined to leave for Tokyo to become a professional. Unexpectedly Shinnosuke reappears in Chichibu as the guitarist for a traveling enka band and since he isn't playing rock this change has turned him into a sullen jerk. Aoi comes face to face with the ghost of Shinnosuke from 13 years ago and in her attempt to connect him with her sister it causes a major fallout between the sisters. Things get complicated she starts falling in love with the ghostly high school version of Shinnosuke.
