This multi-layered relationship drama revolves around Lalita (Madhoo) and Kavita (Ramya Krishna), two beautiful young women who are stepsisters and dearest friends. They've been living together ever since Kavita's father died while trying to save Lalita from being crashed by a machine in a construction site.
Ever since they've been living together. Kavita has been secretly writing poems to thrill her family and especially Lalita. Meanwhile, Raja (Rajasekhar) is a talented musician from an economically challenged family, who stays in a rental house along with his friends and band owned by Babu Mohan. He lies to his mother saying he has a big job, but he believes that one day his band will become popular.
On one serendipitous occasion, he comes across one of Kavita's poems and falls in love with her. He writes a letter to Kavita stating how beautiful her poem was, she too falls for him after reading it. They both write letters to each other expressing their feelings of love and togetherness.
However, Raja and Kavita get into a serious of clashes without knowing they are the very lovers who are iin touch through their love letters. Raja later on mistakes Lalita to be the poetess as they both fall in love. Will Raja ever learn that it is Kavita who has written the poetry and the letters, not Lalita? And, how will Lalita react when she learns the whole truth about the true nature of the relationship between Raja and Kavita?
