Abou Leila (2019)

In Algeria 1994 when the civil wars were raging in the north of the country, police officers and childhood friends S and Lotfi travel through the desert in search of a dangerous terrorist on the run. In the Sahara, their quest seems absurd as S tries to keep his friend far away from the capital and all the bloodshed present there. But the deeper they get into the desert, the more they are confronted with their own trauma and violence.
