National Geographic appoints ace tiger expert Krish Thapar (John Abraham) and his wife Riya (Esha Deol) to investigate the causes behind mysterious deaths caused by man-eating tigers, in the past two months. Parallely, Dev (Vivek Oberoi) and Ishika (Lara Dutta) with his group of friends set out for an adventure trip for the weekend. However, in a cruel twist of fate, they are diverted from going to the farmhouse they had planned to go to and find themselves being led towards one of India's biggest jungle for an unexpected ride. The two groups bond together, but the same night, the danger that lurks in the jungle comes alive. They realize that the jungle abounds with dangerous and blood-thirsty animals of prey. Thus begins a horrifying journey of fear, panic, trauma, torment and death. The only person who can come to their rescue is Kaali Pratap Singh (Ajay Devgn). Will he succeed in helping them escape the jungle with their lives intact? In this run for life the only escape is to escape the time of death – ‘KAAL’.
