The film, is a faithful adaptation of Shirshendu Mukhopadhyay’s story Chayamoy, an engaging tale of all things that were a part of our childhood, with the addition of friendly ghosts. The ghosts are very fond of kids and will go to any lengths to help the neglected, rejected and underdogs of society. Chayamoy is also a story of such a ghost, whose meddling in others' lives changes the fates of the people of Shimultala.
