Antam (1992)

This suspenseful crime thriller revolves around Raghav, a deadly killer who is sought after by all the law-enforcement agencies. Special Branch Inspector Krishna (Salim Ghouse) is especially chosen and assigned the task of apprehending Raghav (Nagarjuna), a notorious hitman, in the employ of J.P. Sethi (Danny Denzongpa), which he accepts.

The Mayor (Akash Khurana) takes a special interest in this case, and informs Krishna that he is authorised to take full freedom to use any amount of force to apprehend Raghav.

A few days later, the Mayor is assasinated. When pressure mounts on J.P. Sethi to turn in Raghav, he instead pays another man to confess for the assassination, thus leading to the closure of this file. However, this deception does not convince Krishna as he is sure that Raghav is behind the Mayor's assassination.

Krishna has a sister, Bhavana (Urmilla Matondkar), who is in love with Shekhar. When Krishna finds out about this, he asks Bhavana to stop seeing Shekhar, as Shekhar is another alias for the cold-hearted killer Raghav. Has Raghav really fallen in love with Bhavana or is it another cold and calculated move to undermine Krishna's efforts to bring him to justice.
